"China Youth Entrepreneurship International Plan" the first stop of Beijing college students' selection campaign started yesterday.

"I am like a lonely boat floating in the sea, and I see a ray of light today."

On the morning of 1 July, a demonstration conference sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the National Youth Federation launched an international cooperation project aimed at helping young people in China to start their own business. The "China Youth Entrepreneurship International Plan" demonstration conference was launched at Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University.

Nearly 100 students from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China and other universities attended the meeting.

The 24 year old fourth year college student of Kasetsart University described her feelings as participants.

Youth Business China (YBC) is an international project initiated by the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the National Youth Federation. Based on the project mode, advanced experience and international resources of the British youth entrepreneurship International Plan (YBI), the project explores the optimization of the youth entrepreneurial environment in the form of non-government and non-profit, and helps young people embark on the road to success in starting a business on the basis of China's national conditions and cultural characteristics.

At present, about 1/3 of the unemployed people in China are young people under 35 years old.

The China Youth Entrepreneurship Program will provide 3-5 yuan of interest free money for unemployed young entrepreneurs.

This plan will help 30 people start their business every year, and 10 thousand young people will become entrepreneurs by 2007.

Since its launch in November last year, the project has been piloted in Beijing, Shanghai, Liaoning and Shandong.

Liu Jiangang, a graduate of Shanghai Univer, has accepted YBC's sixty thousand yuan business support last year, becoming China's first person to receive the fund's support.

Liu has set up a foreign-related housekeeping service company in Shanghai. At present, the company has entered a healthy development stage.

The introduction and demonstration of "China Youth Entrepreneurship International Program" is a public welfare activity jointly launched by YBC's national offices and universities.

The activity is "I am brave, I am confident, I start business!"

Taking the university graduates as the object, the three key activities, such as entrepreneurship plan collection, expert interview guidance, and entrepreneurial support, are carried out. The purpose of the activities is to encourage entrepreneurship and promote entrepreneurial atmosphere.

The college students who have excellent entrepreneurial intentions will receive the entrepreneurial start-up fund provided by YBC, and get one to one entrepreneurial tutor service and professional technical consultation.

It is reported that the plan will also be promoted in Shanghai, Xi'an and Shenyang.
