Nepalese Garment Exports To India Increase

When the export of Nepalese garments was subjected to severe winter, India gradually became the second largest market for garment exports in Nepal after the United States.

Due to the close proximity of Nepal to India, the production cost is low, although the overall export trend is decreasing, the printing output has increased significantly.

According to the chairman of Nigeria Garment Association, large retailers in India increased their purchasing power for Nigeria garments. In the first 4 months of this year, about 7 million US dollars were exported to India, which is roughly the same as exports to the United States.

Nepal's garment production is about 30% cheaper in wages, rent, and raw material costs than in India. In addition, the rapid development of India's economy and the huge market have promoted the expansion of the India market in the situation of the economic downturn in the United States and the weakness of the US dollar.

It is understood that due to the political situation in India is not stable, large retailers in the current no investment plan in Nigeria.
