Manufacturer Levi 's recently announced the launch of a new global brand named dENiZEN, which is the first brand in the company's 137 year history outside the US.


The new brand is aimed at the younger generation of consumers in Asia, especially the young consumer force in China's emerging Asian markets. It is also positioned at a moderate price at a price of 299~399 yuan, much lower than the retail price of other products of Levi 's in China.

The meaning of citizenship is also understood by the combination of two words: denim (tannin cloth) and Zen (Zen).

According to relevant sources, Levi 's plans to open 50 tannin brand stores in China, Korea and Singapore by the end of 2010.

Among them, the store in Shanghai will open in early September.

It also launched a network marketing plan covering Asia as a brand ambassador from mainland China, Hongkong, China, Singapore, South Korea and India to select 10 consumers who can represent the new generation of Asia.

They will spend 100 days sharing their brand experience with the public, and publishing their own stories and hot topics of their peers on the corresponding websites.


At present, Levi 's has hundreds of distributors in China, and plans to increase to 1000 in 2015.
