Taiwan Textile Consumers

Taiwan

Consumer safety, the Taiwan Ministry of economic affairs standard Inspection Bureau (BSMI) began to implement inspection system for textile products manufactured or imported to Taiwan in Taiwan.

The inspection system is based on CNS 15290 "textile safety (General requirements)".


According to BSMI, textiles in the new system are mainly divided into two categories, and the effective date of the compulsory inspection system depends on different categories.

After the entry into force of the system, all products covered must meet the requirements.

Textile products

Only after carrying the commodity inspection labels can they be sold on the Taiwan market.

* the effective date of the inspection depends on the date when the product first imports / leaves the factory / leaves the warehouse.


 


Textile products that meet the above requirements will be subject to mandatory inspection when manufactured or imported to Taiwan in Taiwan.

There are three methods for detection and sampling, and the sampling products will be tested according to CNS 15290.

All imported or manufactured products must be submitted for inspection.

However, BSMI will detect only 5% of them.

A small number of products will be taken away for testing.

If the quantity of the product is less than 5 or the individual amount of the product is greater than NT $10000 (about 430 US dollars) CIF, it can be exempted.

Products need not be submitted for inspection.

However, the inspector can enter the factory at any time and the amount of pumping depends on the expected annual output, or according to the calendar year's output of the similar products.

Manufacturer of ISO9000 certificates or four basic analytical instruments (UV-Vis, GM-MS, ASS or ICP, GC-PFPD or GC-FPD).


            
            
            

Manufacturers self test.


            

The detection method should be based on CNS 15290.


            
        

    



* by default, "tracking detection" will be carried out unless the relevant departments have obtained permission from BSMI in advance.

The relevant departments can choose the method of "spot check" or "tracking test with management system".


Products that have not been inspected will be granted the certificate by default.
