It refers to certain dyes that cause skin, mucous membranes or respiratory tract allergies in humans or animals.

In order to reduce production costs and increase export competitiveness, disperse dyes are used in the production process of some textile printing and dyeing enterprises in China. These dyes are mainly used for dyeing of acetate, polyester (polyamide) and polyamide (Jin Guan) fibers.

However, some people with allergic constitution will suffer from skin allergy after wearing such sensitized dyes.

Therefore, the use of sensitized dyes in textiles has been restricted by instruction in the world, and the content of sensitizing dyes must be paid attention to in exporting garments.

At this stage, the internationally renowned eco safety specification "Oeko-Tex100" stipulates that 21 kinds of sensitizing dyes are banned in textile and clothing, while the European Eco-label (ECO label) regulation stipulates that 19 kinds of sensitizing dyes can not be used in textile garments when the stain fastness (acid and alkalinity) of dyed textiles is lower than grade 4.

In the field of detection of sensitized dyes in China's textile and apparel industry, China's national standard GB/T18885 "eco textile technical requirements" stipulates that the limit value of 20 restricted dyes is 0.006%, which is consistent with the limited provisions in Oeko-Tex100.

According to the statistics of Ningbo entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first quarter of 2011, the total export volume of textile and clothing in Ningbo amounted to 22 thousand batches, which amounted to 622 million US dollars, and the export market was still concentrated. Among them, the total export volume and the total amount of the three major markets of EU, USA and Japan were over 60%, while the quality requirements of the above three countries for imported textile and apparel products were very high.

At present, some famous brands and buyers in the world have already requested that enterprises that manufacture and produce their products should not use sensitizing dyes in textile and clothing.

In 2010, a garment company in China exported to the European Union's clothing and was rejected because of its sensitized dye content of printed knitted fabrics, which caused serious losses.

In view of this, the inspection and quarantine department recommends: first, in view of the limit requirements of sensitizing dyes on textiles, the printing and dyeing and auxiliaries industry should adopt close and sincere cooperation to limit the use of sensitizing dyes as far as possible; second, the printing and dyeing manufacturers must have a purposeful choice.

The auxiliaries handled before and after finishing should be strictly checked, and the testing of auxiliaries should be strengthened. At the same time, a written undertaking with the auxiliaries should be strengthened to ensure the use of dyeing auxiliaries without sensitizing dyes. Third, as a final check on the export products, the relevant departments of inspection and quarantine should also conduct effective sampling inspection for the export of textile and garment products, so as to prevent the problem of the content of the sensitized dye to "
