Beijing Unveiled Its First Traffic Noise Map, The Three Or Four Ring Of Northeast China.
Yesterday, the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau announced the communiqu on the environmental situation of Beijing in 2005. At the same time, the communiqu shows that Beijing's air quality improved further last year, but the water environment is still not optimistic. The 5 largest river systems in Beijing only reach the standard of the Chao Bai river. For the first time, the road traffic noise map was released from the monitoring point of noise. The noise on both sides of the road traffic line in the city has exceeded the maximum limit of 70 decibels from the morning to the night. Among them, southwest Second Ring Road to the Fourth Ring Road, northeast three or four ring and other places, especially the noise affected "disaster area". On this map, 5 colors are used to mark the noise pollution of the main roads, where the lightest road is below 68 dB, and the highest noise level is above 74 dB. Some roads such as Shijingshan, Chaoyang and Fengtai have the biggest noise, exceeding 74 decibels. The bulletin of the 5 major river systems, the Chao Bai river reaches the standard, shows that the water quality of the Miyun Reservoir and the Huairou reservoir in Beijing last year remained stable, consistent with the drinking water source quality standards. The Guanting reservoir water quality has not improved significantly, and is still in four categories. In addition, the compliance rate of drinking water sources in urban areas is 98.7%. In the whole underground water, the water quality is poor and extremely poor, reaching 32.1%, which is mainly distributed in the central and southern parts of the city. In the 5 major water systems of Beijing, only 100% of the reaches of the Chao Bai river reach the standard, and the north canal system has the worst water quality. The Beijing environmental Bulletin shows that the five water systems only reach the standard of the water quality of the Chao Bai river.
