Who invented it? Yesterday, at the relevant symposium held by Donghua University, experts pointed out that Sun Zhongshan put forward the design concept of "Zhongshan suit", but as to who designed it, there has been no conclusion yet.

The designers of Chinese tunic are not unified nowadays.

Professor Bao Mingxin of Donghua University says there are three popular versions. One is Shanghai's famous tailor shop "Rong Changxiang", the two is from Japanese designers, and another is that Sun Zhongshan once recommended a Guangdong tailor Huang Longsheng who specializes in western style clothes. He may also be a designer of Zhongshan costume.

Compared with the three piece suit, the Chinese tunic suit has a good shielding property, no special requirements for shirts, and no tie, so it is more warm than a suit.

Therefore, they are very popular.

Bao Ming Xin said.

According to reports, before 1911, the Chinese tunic suit was mainly worn by overseas students, especially those studying in Japan. In 1911 to 1935, civil servants wore more clothes.

At that time, wearing a Chinese tunic suit represented a progressive new class.

According to textual research, Zhongshan suit is called folk, and it became popular after 1949.

Bian Xiangyang, a professor at Donghua University, told reporters that costumes in the period of the Republic of China showed both Chinese and Western traditions. They considered both traditional customs, gowns and Liriodendron, as well as international standards. Western-style clothes and neckties, as well as traditional suits with cheongsam and Chinese tunic suit, were a mixture of traditional Chinese dress and Western tradition.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Mao Zedong was very fond of wearing Chinese tunic suits.
