Is tidal current equal to sewage flow?

Following the 2011 International environmental protection organization Greenpeace released the global poison of fashion. Clothing brand "China's water pollution survey" report and early 2012, when domestic agencies released "pollution of green fashion and choice of textile brand supply chain pollution", Greenpeace once again "made a sound."

The report, entitled "trend, pollution: global fashion brand toxic and hazardous substances residues", was released worldwide in November 20, 2012.

The survey points out that ZARA The clothing of 20 famous brands of international and domestic brands, such as Metersbonwe, used many kinds of toxic and harmful substances in the production process, and eventually remained in the products.

The results showed that 2/3 of the samples were tested for "environmental hormone" nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (NPE), and almost all brands were involved. Besides, a large amount of o-phthalate two formic acid was also detected. Plasticizer "

It is understood that NPE is widely used in printing and dyeing and washing processes in textile production, and will be quickly decomposed into stronger toxic environmental hormone nonylphenol (NP) when discharged into the environment. NP is highly toxic to aquatic organisms and will interfere with the endocrine system and affect the reproductive system after entering the human body.

"NPE is cheap and only one side. There are also management problems. It is very difficult to avoid factory use in the short term." Gong Yancheng, a member of the school of materials science and technology of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, and member of the environmental technology standard research Specialized Committee, told our reporter.

However, the standards for the use of these "environmental hormones" have been formulated.

Gong Yancheng said, "the relevant standards will be completed in 2015. At present, there is tremendous resistance in the industry. A factory that produces tens of millions of tons of NPE a year will stop easily because of a standard stop.

In fact, the "environmental hormone" remaining in the clothes itself is only the tip of the iceberg on the pollution chain of the entire textile industry.

"These big brands are polluting the production process to the rivers of the producing countries, threatening the health of more people through the food chain." Li Yifang, director of the green peace pollution prevention and control project, told our reporter.

Therefore, China, as the largest textile exporter in the world, is undoubtedly one of the biggest victims.

According to the data of China Textile Industry Association, in 2012 1-9, China's textile industry exports amounted to US $192 billion 700 million, a decrease of 1.04% compared with the same period last year, and imports of US $18 billion 400 million, an increase of 7.31% over the same period last year.

"At present, about 60% of the world's fabric and 40% of garments are manufactured in China, though they are not the dominant part of China's economy, but they remain an important pole." A textile industry association of China told our correspondent.

Ma Jun, director of the Chinese public environment research center, pointed out to our reporter that "according to the current investigation, we found 6000 pollution spots on the textile industry, of which 3000 were related to printing and dyeing."

In order to control textile pollution, the Ministry of environmental protection recently announced four emission standards for pollutants in textile dyeing and finishing industry, and will be implemented in January 1, 2013.

An official of the Ministry of pollution prevention and control of the Ministry of environmental protection told this newspaper that during the "12th Five-Year" period, the Ministry of environmental protection will continue to increase the total amount control of pollutants in the printing and dyeing industry of the textile industry.

Li Fang said, "but at present, all these standards refer to general pollutants and do not mention" environmental hormones ".
