The reporter learned from foreign media's recent reports that the Lotte Duty Free, Korea's top duty exempt operator, has been lost.

Business license, but it got a permit to open a duty free shop in the famous Ginza street in Tokyo.

Lotte Duty Free 1 said on 7 June that the Japanese Customs General Administration approved its duty free shop in Ginza street, Tokyo in January 6th.

Duty-free shops will be in March.

The first duty free shop in the city centre.

This duty free shop is the largest duty free shop in Japan, with a total of two floors, with a total scale of 4396 square meters (47318 square feet).

This is the second time that Lotte has opened a duty-free shop in Japan.

In September 2014, Lotte had obtained a license to open a duty free store at Osaka Kansai International Airport.

After a series of attempts to acquire existing duty-free shops or new duty-free shop licenses, the license granted by the Japanese customs office was a rare victory for Lotte, Korea.

The failure in Korea promoted Lotte's development to the international market.

Lotte intends to open another duty-free shop in Osaka, hoping to open 3 more duty-free shops in Japan after 2020.

"We will actively expand the global scale, enhance the competitive advantage in the local duty-free industry and contribute to the tourism industry," said Jang Sun-wook, chief executive of Lotte Duty Free.

Apart from Japan, Asian countries, including Thailand and Indonesia, are also the target market of Lotte duty-free shops in Korea.

In the first half of 2016, Lotte will open a new duty free shop in Bangkok.

In July 2015, Lotte failed to get a license to open a new duty free shop in Seoul, and its two competitors did it: HDC Shilla, a joint venture run by Hyundai Development Company and Hotel Shilla, and Han Hua group.

Four months later, the Lotte duty-free shop in World Tower, Seoul's silkworm room, lost its business license. In 2014, when the duty-free shop moved from Lotte World (Lotte World) to World Tower, Lotte Korea invested 300 billion won (about 250 million US dollars).
